BEST Food Garden

img-1000.jpgLocated at our Nursery, BEST funds a community activity known as the BEST Food Garden. The garden was established in November 2012 to provide people with Intellectual Disability and the long term unemployed meaningful opportunities to contribute to their community whilst developing new skills and confidence.

Participants learn to propagate seedlings, care for laying hens and grow vegetables. Produce grown from the garden is distributed by Connections Disability clients (at no cost) to elderly and impoverished community members throughout the Inverell district.
